Camera Controls - Pan / Tilt / Zoom |
|
By clicking and dragging the mouse in a viewport, you can control the camera positions in the editor. In addition, the Right mouse button can be used to rotate the camera, the mouse wheel to zoom, and the keys W/S/A/D/R/F can move the currently selected camera around the scene. (The currently selected camera, is the last viewport you clicked in). |

Select Mode |
|
This tool is used simply for clicking and selecting objects in the viewports. The other tools can also select objects, but the select tool is useful if you do not want to risk accidentally moving something. |
5 |
Move Mode |
|
Used to move objects around the scene. See Manipulating Objects for more information. |
6 |
Local Rotate Mode |
|
Used to rotate an object around its own local axis. Generally you would use this one instead of global rotate. See Manipulating Objects. |
7 |
Global Rotate Mode |
|
Similar to local rotate, except it rotates around the global axis, regardless of an objects current orientation. |
8 |
Scale Mode |
|
Used to control the size of objects. See Manipulating Objects. |
9 |
Copy / Paste |
|
Used to duplicate objects. |
10 |
Duplicate Object |
|
When you click this button, whatever you have currently selected will be duplicated. The duplication will appear in exactly the same spot as the original, and the original will still be selected. |
11 |
Delete Object [delete key] |
|
Will delete the selected objects. |
12 |
Selection filters |
|
These 7 buttons control what you can and cannot select in the editor. Useful when certain objects are getting in your way. See the section on Selection Filters. This is a very important feature, and you may have trouble using Scythe if you do not understand it. |
13 |
Start / Stop Simulation |
|
The hammer button is what will start the simulation and bring everything in your scene to life. To stop it and return to editing mode, click on the red X. Multiple instances of your scene will be created if you press the hammer button repeatedly. |
